Airtel Users will Also be Able to Recharge Their Number from ATMs, Medical Stores


India has been completely locked down to prevent coronavirus infection for the last 11 days. Users are facing difficulty in recharging their smartphones. In view of this, the Indian telecom regulator had directed all telecom companies not to discontinue incoming service during the 21-day lock down. After which all telecom companies had announced not to stop incoming calls for their users and to give a prepaid balance of Rs 10.

Like other everyday goods, telecommunications and internet have also been recognised as the goods needed by the people. The option was available for users to recharge their numbers and recharge online to continue these services. In the recent past, Reliance Jio had introduced the facility of recharge through ATM for its users. If you don't have the option to recharge online, you can go from the nearest ATM and recharge your number. You will have to use your debit card.

In view of this, Bharti Airtel has also introduced the facility of recharge from ATM for its users. In addition, the company has also introduced recharge facility from medical or grocery stores for its users. The grasary and medical stores will remain open during the lock down. Users will also be able to recharge their prepaid numbers by visiting here.

Airtel has entered into a partnership with HDFC and ICICI Bank for the same. If you have these two bank accounts and debit cards, you can go to these ATMs and recharge your Airtel number. In addition, Airtel has also made a partnership with Apollo Pharmacies. Users will also be able to recharge their Airtel number by visiting Apollo Pharmacies. Also, big Bazaar grasary stores will be able to recharge their mobile numbers.

Jio Users also Get The Facility
GEO users will also now be able to recharge their prepaid GEO numbers with a total of 90 thousand ATMs of different banks. The company has entered into a partnership with 9 banks to provide this special service. Reliance Jio's service has been made available by State Bank of India, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Citibank, DCB Bank, AUF Bank and Standard Chartered Bank at their ATMs. The new work-from-home plans are also being offered to users during the lockdown on behalf of both Airtel and Geo.
