Galaxy Fold 2: Samsung to Launch Soon, Preparing to Bring Cheaper Foldable Phones


South Korea's smartphone maker Samsung launched the first folding smartphone Galaxy Fold last year and this year the company has launched Galaxy Z Flip. The company exploring the foldable display technology can soon bring the next folding phone and its name may be Galaxy Fold 2. Obviously, the device will be the successor of Galaxy Fold but the company is going to keep its initial price low by bringing 256 GB storage verant.

Whether Samsung will name the next folding smartphone will be Galaxy Fold 2 or not, it has not been confirmed so far and the company can also bring the next device in a new name. In fact, the launch Galaxy Fold last year had seen a number of defects, which led the company not only to postpone the market launch of the device several times but also to cancel pre-orders. Samsung would not want it to happen again with any new device and the company is also making a mind to reach out to more and more users by keeping the price of folding tech low.

Galaxy Fold 2 Price
Samsung's Galaxy Fold is the company's most expensive smartphone so far. The company has priced the galaxy Fold with a single 512GB storage price of about Rs 154,990. According to reports, the Galaxy Fold 2 smartphone can be offered at a lower price with 256GB storage with model number SM-F916. In addition, the second model of galaxy Fold 2 can be offered with 512GB storage to the SM-F91x. The launch in two storage variants indicates that the company can bring the option of cheaper variants in front of the boyers.

Display will be Larger Than Ever
The successor or upgrade model will also be launched with Samsung 256 GB internal storage and its model number SM-F916 has surfaced. This time, the company's new Galaxy Fold will come with a 7.7-inch wide display, while the previous device features a 7.3-inch display. The secondary display will appear to be 4.6 inches when it is folded. Samsung can use the Infiniti-O display for this and the punch hole camera can be replaced in the display. At the moment, it is not clear whether the new device will support the S-pen.

Launch with Note 20 Series
Talking about the main camera, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will have the same camera setup as the recently launched Galaxy S20 +. It is also believed that Samsung model number SM-F910 can be unloaded at even lower prices with only 4G connectivity, while the standard model will be given 5G support with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. Samsung can launch this folding device in the third quarter of 2020. It seems that in August, 2020, the company can also offer this model with its Note 20 series.
