Google launches Braille keyboard for visually impaired, it won't need additional apps and hardware to use
Google has launched Braille's board talkback for Android device users. It has been specially designed for visually impaired users. The company said in its blog post that Google has teamed up with people facing problems like blind and low-vision in addition to Braille developers.
It will get standard 6 button layout
He said that it would be able to use it comfortably for those who have never been typing in Braille before. It has a standard 6 button layout. Each button represents one of 6 Braille dots, which, when tapped, forms any letter or symbol. For example, to type A, 1 dot has to be pressed and both dot 1 and 2 have to be pressed together to type B. It will work in all text fields from Android documents to Gmail. It will also facilitate deleting letters and words.
Will work in Android 5.0 or the latest version
Braille Keyboard has been launched for devices running on Android OS of Android 5.0 Lollipop or its latest version. No additional app or hardware is required to use it. Google reported that braille-board use will have to go to the accessibility section of the settings and make a talkback on. This keyboard will work with all apps after it's on.
